Growing no taller than 15-20cm in height, the flowers seems to bloom almost endlessly in our forgiving Australian climate. Johnny Jump Up provide an excellent border of colour to the domestic garden and presents a tempting offering of delights not just for the home gardener, but also the array of beneficial insects it attracts. They are edible, making a great garnish on sweet dishes.

    Soil Ensure your soil is nutrient rich so prepare it with fresh manure and compost a fortnight before planting. Likes a well-drained soil type.

    Soil pH Level 6.5-7.0

    Position Full sun but won’t mind a little afternoon shading.

    How to Plant Sow directly into your patch when daytime temperatures regularly surpass 18-20 degrees. If still too cold, propagate in seed trays and transplant when conditions have improved.

    Spacing 20-30cms

    Depth 0.5-1cm

    Companion Plants  Violas will attract an array of pollinators through their vivid, bright flowers
