About Us
We are a garden design and therapeutic horticulture practice based in Naarm/Melbourne. We believe that a garden is more than just a collection of plants. It is a place of sanctuary, a way to connect with the earth, and a quiet form of resistance in a busy world. Our goal is to create outdoor spaces that support your wellbeing and invite you to slow down.
Our approach is shaped by a mix of spatial design, urban horticulture, and lived experience in disability support. We know that gardens can be inclusive and joyful, whether they are on a small rental balcony or in a suburban backyard. We design with the understanding that everyone has different sensory needs and physical rhythms.
We work closely with renters, neurodivergent folks, and people with small spaces to turn overlooked corners into sensory-aware environments. Our work is guided by the ethics of earth care, people care, and fair share. This means we advocate for sustainable gardening that is accessible to everyone, regardless of their budget or living situation. From hands-on sessions to award-winning installations, we are here to help you find your own patch of green.
Meg Chatterton
Our founder Meg (she/her) brings a person-centered and neuro-affirming lens to every project. With a background in spatial design and a Master of Urban Horticulture from the University of Melbourne, Meg creates spaces that are both beautiful and grounded in science. This unique blend of skills means she looks equally at the big picture of how a space feels and the small details of how a plant grows.
