Where every body and mind can flourish
As a neurodivergent person with hypermobility and chronic pain, I’ve experienced how gardening can help overall wellbeing, but I also know it can be difficult to access.
I offer neuroaffirming, NDIS-approved co-gardening sessions that meet you where you’re at, incorporating your needs and interests, and tailored to how you’re feeling on the day. If you’re already a confident gardener but require physical assistance or body-doubling to make the most of it, I can help with that too.
If you have hypermobility, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, dysautonomia (orthostatic intolerance, POTS etc.), I can adapt sessions to ensure you gain the benefits of being outdoors without the strain on your body.
What is co-gardening?
Co-gardening is simply gardening together with another person and working with nature, rather than against it. By sharing skills, time and tools, we can nurture a garden together to bring calm, mental well-being and joy.
It’s especially powerful for people who:
Struggle with motivation to get out into the garden
Feel overwhelmed by a list of garden tasks
Are knowledgeable gardeners but require physical assistance to complete certain tasks due to age, disability or injury
Are neurodivergent (ADHD, autism and sensory sensitivities) and benefit from body-doubling
My co-gardening sessions are built on the principles of therapeutic horticulture: gardening for mental, emotional, physical and social wellbeing. By growing something together, we can reduce stress, regulate your senses, build confidence, and reconnect with nature. As an associate member of Therapeutic Horticulture Australia, I ensure that my work is evidence-based, ethical and person-centred.

In-person sessions are currently offered within 15km of Preston, VIC at your residence. If you don’t have a garden, sessions can be tailored to suit community gardens or indoors. Online support and planning is available nationally. I can work with you or your support worker to create a tailored plan.

Each session is different. You might plant something new, water plants, go on a nature walk, or just spend time with soil and sun. It’s flexible and guided by you.
-
That’s totally okay. I design sessions to be sensory-friendly and responsive to your energy levels and needs.
-
I offer sensory-friendly gardening services without the use of power tools—ideal if you’re sensitive to noise, fumes or chemicals. If you have NDIS funding, this can be covered by the House or Yard Maintenance line item. Find out more here.
